Lumenus is creating the next generation of smart-clothing. Embedded LED lighting in clothing & accessories for consumer & industrial safety.

Lumenus is a fashion tech brand which aims to create garments and accessories with embedded smart, low energy LED-strips as well as complimentary technologies. This clothing line will include a software component, which will differentiate the product via additional safety, GPS, and other features. The user will interface with the jacket through the Lumenus’s mobile application and BLE. Through the app, the user will be able to control the basic appearance and color of the lights. Turn signals will also be fired off through the application and reflected through the apparel’s lighting system. The app will include a GPS component to promote cyclist safety, which includes cycle-friendly directions and the ability to modify their routes to avoid hazardous locations. The Lumenus smart apparel line addresses the dire safety issues surrounding joggers, cyclists, and motorcyclists. Bicyclists will no longer have to worry about having their presence and behaviors communicated to drivers, and will also get a wealth of actionable data surrounding their routes and their rides.
