Using blood samples from the world’s most comprehensive elderly cohort (the Rotterdam Study, see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotterdam_Study), Life Metrics is developing a proprietary, patentable blood test that will predict both when a person is going to die (in terms of the number of months of life remaining), and identify the existence of several leading causes of death—all by looking at just one drop of a person's blood.
