Company Description

Broker-dealer & asset management firm

Established in October 2009, Liberty Securities is owned by two major shareholders JSC Liberty Capital and Sturgeon Holding Limited with 80% and 20% equity interest, respectively. Liberty Capital was founded and established by Lado Gurgenidze in July 2012 as a vehicle to achieve medium-term capital growth by investing in selected undervalued financial services companies, typically obscure due to their small size, or operating in emerging/frontier markets. Sturgeon Holding Limited’s wholly-owned London-based subsidiary Sturgeon Capital is the investment manager of Sturgeon Central Asia Fund, a multi-strategy hedge fund focused on this fast growing region. Liberty Securities provides its institutional and retail clients with a broad range of services, including agency brokerage services, corporate brokerage services, investment banking services, asset management services and custodial services in Georgia. Liberty Securities is fully licensed as a broker-dealer by the National Bank of Georgia and is a member of the Georgian Stock Exchange.
