L Marks is a corporate innovation specialist and early stage investor. They build bridges between large corporates seeking to innovate more quickly with young companies with disruptive technologies, products and services. ​ They take a practical approach to the way they work by running bespoke accelerator and scouting projects for some of the UK's best known brands including John Lewis, DPD and William Hill. They work with their clients to identify where they believe the opportunities and challenges are in their business and then turn these into opportunities for improvement and innovation. L Marks was founded in 2012 by serial entrepreneur Stuart Marks, and is run by Chief Investment Officer Daniel Saunders and Chief Operating Officer Liberty Mawhood and a team of researchers and programme support managers based in central London. They work in partnership with corporates who are passionate about innovation and want to provide an environment in which young companies can flourish. They seek to invest in the participating companies – a unique approach that, unlike working with consultants or other suppliers, ensures that their interests and those of their partners are aligned and that costs are controlled.
