JRC Czech provides e-shop or shop for computer and console games. JRC was launched in the Czech market for the first time in 1988. At that time, the company focused mainly on Atari and Commodore computers. In the course of five years, however, she was increasingly focused on PCs and became the number one in computer game sales in the Czech Republic. In May 1996, JRC became a Sony partner for the distribution of Sony PlayStation software and hardware equipment for game consoles. Less than a year later, it took over the import and distribution of the game titles of its most important competitor, Vision, which significantly strengthened its position on the Czech market. In 1999 JRC transformed into a limited liability company, and at the end of the summer of 2003 it changed its legal form to a joint stock company. From August 2008 to September 2012, the company was part of the international network of Game Group PLC. From 2015 Hamage is the owner. At present, JRC Czech as is only engaged in retail sales and focuses on selling a complete range of games and gaming consoles. Since December 1, 2012, the JRC has been re-branding, which is inseparably linked to PC entertainment and Sony PlayStation, XBOX 360 and Nintendo. The evenly spread network of JRC stores annually accounts for around one quarter of sales to end customers in the Czech Republic.
