Users can search the site to find conversations about information that might not be available in mainstream news sources, like unlocking an iPhone. Following [Techcrunch's first post](http://www.techcrunch.com/2007/11/30/will-irseek-have-a-chilling-effect-on-irc-chat/) about IRSeek, the company chose to [suspend their services](http://www.irseek.com/blog/?p=1) due to some privacy concerns. They had indexed over 300 million conversations by then, and were adding about 6 million conversations per day.
