IPWatchdog is an intellectual property website that provides individuals, small businesses, and entrepreneurs with information to help them understand all areas of intellectual property and to become better consumers. IPWatchdog focuses on the business, policy, and substance of patents and other forms of intellectual property such as copyrights and trademarks. IPWatchdog was recognized as one of the top 100 legal blogs by the American Bar Association for five years in a row. It was recognized as the top intellectual property law blog according to the ABA for three years. In January 2014 IPWatchdog was also honored to be inducted into the ABA Blawg Hall of Fame. IPWatchdog traffic reached an all-time high in October 2013 bringing in 143,062 visitors and during the 4th quarter of 2013 they averaged 138,900 visitors per month. IPWatchdog was launched in 1999 by Gene Quinn, a patent attorney, law professor, author, and inventor.
