Internationale Bodensee Konferenz

The IBK is a cooperative association of the adjoining Lake Constance and its related countries and cantons.

On 27 June 2008, the government signed the mission statement of the IBK for the Lake Constance area. It is common development goals and is influenced by the ideas of shared responsibility, constructive cooperation and the principles of sustainable development and subsidiarity. The model depends primarily on the governments of the IBK members and recommending further to parliaments, local authorities, associations, other leaders in the area of ​​Lake Constance and consortia. The implementation of the mission statement is ensured by means of an action plan. This is updated regularly and is the basis for the work of the seven commissions of the IBK.
