International Trade Administration (ITA) is an agency in the United States Department of Commerce. It strengthens the competitiveness of U.S. industries, promotes trade and investment, and ensures fair trade through the enforcement of trade laws and agreements. The agency works to improve the global business environment and helps U.S. organizations compete at home and abroad. It is organized into three business units: global markets, industry and analysis, and enforcement and compliance. International Trade Administration was founded in 1980 and is based in Washington, District of Columbia.
