It provides its services to their shareholders, directors, and advisers. It manages total assets of $17.3 trillion and serve more than 90 million shareholders. It also offers investment education and programs to the business community as well as the public. It iprovides its education through its partnerships with American institutes such as the U.S. Labor Department on Retirements Savings Summits, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Saving and Investing Campaigns,  American Savings Education Council, the Alliance for Investor Education, and the Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy. ICI is headquartered in Northwest, Washington, D.C.
