Founded in 1993, Glencoe Capital is a private equity firm focused on lead-sponsored acquisitions and growth equity investments in lower middle-market companies. The firm has completed over 45 acquisitions, representing over $1.6 billion of transaction value (as of 9/30/2013). Glencoe Capital currently manages two funds: the Glencoe Capital Michigan Opportunities Fund, L.P. and Glencoe Capital Partners III, L.P.​​ ​​ The Glencoe Capital Michigan Opportunities Fund, the firm's fourth fund, was established in June of 2008 and represents a groundbreaking partnership of public and private interests in the deployment of private equity capital. The Fund makes lead-sponsored acquisitions and growth equity investments in companies that conduct a material portion of their business operations in Michigan. The Fund may also invest in companies located outside of Michigan that demonstrate a viable strategy for expanding business operations into the State. ​ Our third fund, Glencoe Capital Partners III, currently manages three portfolio companies. Fund investments consist of lead-sponsored acquisitions and growth equity investments in lower middle-market companies with values between $25 million and $125 million.  Glencoe Capital's parent, Glencoe Limited, LLC, is an alternative investment manager with over $789 million of assets under management (as of 9/30/2013). Glencoe Limited comprises several alternative asset management firms, including Glencoe Capital, its lead-sponsor buyout firm, and Stockwell Capital, its private equity co-investment firm, as well as related alternative investment management services to institutional investors, pension funds, and private investors. ​ The firm also maintains its proprietary Executive Network, a group of twenty core, accomplished Fortune 1000 senior executives and entrepreneurs who provide Glencoe’s funds and portfolio companies with industry, strategic, and operational expertise.
