DDC-I, Inc. is a software development company providing real-time operating systems, software development tools and software services for safety critical embedded applications. Headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, DDC-I is a privately held corporation.Founded in 1980, DDC-I is a provider of complex COTS and custom embedded solutions. The first product released in 1985 was a development toolset for Ada. Support for mixed language development was added in 2000 with the addition of C & Embedded C++ programming languages. The company was an early contributor to the Ada standard as well as contributors to the Java "Expert Group" for Safety Critical Java. In November 2008 the company entered the embedded real-time operating systems (RTOS) market with its products, Deos and HeartOS, based on underlying software technology originated at Honeywell International Inc.
