Continuous Composites is providing a novel 3d printing solution to the advanced manufacturing industries utilizing continuously extruded fiber and thermoset matrix materials irradiated with specific intensity. Their first patent filed in August 2012 was just granted. It provides the foundation for an additive manufacturing technology which utilizes a method they call, Continuous Composite Three-Dimensional Printing. Limitations of traditional thermoplastic 3D printing are now in the past with their breakthrough technology using continuous fiber composites such as Kevlar, Carbon Fiber, Fiberglass, Copper, Fiber Optics, and many more. This technology will redefine the manufacturing industry by opening the door to creating strong, functional, yet lightweight parts at a lower cost and at greater speed.
