ConnectMed is plugging the primary healthcare gap in developing countries.

Healthcare systems in doctor-scarce countries are often polarized, with overly expensive private care and overly inconvenient public care. ConnectMed is multiplying the effective capacity of the health workforce in Africa, by providing online medical consults that intelligently use the right type of healthcare professional for the given patient case & support health professionals in handling more complex cases. We reach patients through both our mobile app and our in-pharmacy mobile kiosks. We've already launched kiosks in 7 pharmacies, served over 500 patients, and partnered with the Abraaj Group to treat 10,000 of their patients through our model. We're backed by Entrepreneur First, the University of Oxford's Skoll Centre and the University of Cape Town's Bertha Centre.
