Cliqster offers a social application that enables people living in Chicago to find and make new friends. Users can send invites to others with filters on the age limits, locations, and time frames of a particular scheduled event. Cliqster is built as a client-server app for iOS platforms. Its server side application is a JSON API built with Python Flask which communicates with a MongoDB backend, and is hosted on AWS. The front-end application is native iOS built in Objective-C with custom designed interface elements and styling. Cliqster was launched in January 2012 by Tellef Lundevall and Nick Wieczorek and is operated from Chicago, Illinois, the United States.
