CharityWait is a Patent Pending feature in the restaurant management app SmartLine. Restaurants use SmartLine to replace outdated pen and paper waiting lists, and buzzer systems, with a simple to use digital waitlist app. The CharityWait feature allows restaurants to offer their waiting customers the opportunity to obtain a charity reserved spot at front of their line and be seated next by making a donation through the SmartLine mobile platform to a 501(c)3 charity selected by the restaurant. CharityWait adds an innovative new option for restaurant diners to “skip the wait” but without taking any reserved tables out of circulation nor disrupting other diners wishing to walk in and wait for a same-night table for free; all while generating donations and awareness for a charitable organization.
