Athlete.com is a social platform for athletes and a 'run raiser' platform that enables charities of any size to create activity-based (eg: run/walk/wheel) fundraising events overnight. These events are virtual in that everyone participates from anywhere in the world using athlete.com apps - or a Garmin. In 2012, over 11M people raised billions of dollars for charity via activity-based events. Yet, on average only half of the dollars raised benefit the charity due to event management costs. The Athlete.com Run Raiser platform disrupts this space by virtually eliminating event management costs, while enabling any sized charity to create an activity based fundraiser. Athlete.com run raisers are based on a proprietary social platform and mobile tracking apps which allows anyone to participate from anywhere in the world to raise money for a cause.
