Acoustic Research manufactures high-end audio equipment focused on the modern home entertainment industry. It addresses the requirements of current and anticipated audio and video equipment standards to achieve the maximum level of performance through its line of accessory products. In 1996, Acoustic Research launched its first line of premium interconnect accessories. It introduced the M1 portable high fidelity music player in 2013. Acoustic Research was founded in 1952 by Edgar Marion Villchur, an American inventor, educator, and writer.
