Bernard Goldstein
Trustee, Deceased
Bernard Goldstein was an investment banker and advisor who founded Broadview Associates, one of the first firms to specialize exclusively in mergers, acquisitions, and corporate finance for technology companies. Long before technology investment banking became its own industry category, Goldstein recognized that high-growth computing and electronics companies required specialized financial expertise.
Under his leadership, Broadview advised on hundreds of transactions involving software firms, hardware manufacturers, communications companies, and emerging startups. The firm became well respected for its deep industry knowledge, long-term client relationships, and ability to match innovative companies with acquirers and investors.
Goldstein’s work helped establish many of the norms that would later define technology investment banking, including sector-focused research, valuation frameworks tailored to technology firms, and advisory models built on long-term strategic partnerships rather than one-off deals.
Through Broadview and later advisory roles, he played a significant part in shaping the financial and structural evolution of the global technology sector.
